Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up in Aswan followed by a private transfer to your Nile River cruise ship. After check-in and lunch on board, you will start exploring the most famous Aswan attractions.
The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and located on a picturesque island in the Nile. This temple complex is considered one of the most impressive monuments of southern Egypt.
Next, you will visit the Aswan High Dam, a remarkable modern engineering project that controls the flow of the Nile and created the vast Lake Nasser.
Another highlight of the day is the famous Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries of Aswan. This massive monument offers fascinating insight into the stone-cutting techniques of the ancient Egyptians.
In the evening, enjoy dinner and your first overnight stay on board your Nile cruise.
Optional: Visit a traditional Nubian village, known for its colorful houses, unique culture, and warm hospitality.
Early in the morning, you will travel to one of the most spectacular sites in Egypt: the Abu Simbel Temples.
The Great Temple of Ramses II is famous for its four enormous seated statues carved directly into the rock. Inside the temple you will discover impressive reliefs and the sacred sanctuary featuring the statues of Amun-Ra, Ra-Horakhty, Ptah, and Ramses II.
Nearby stands the smaller temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari and the goddess Hathor. What makes this temple unique is that the statues of the queen are the same height as those of the pharaoh—an extremely rare representation in ancient Egyptian art.
After the visit, you return to your Nile cruise ship and enjoy the rest of the day sailing or relaxing on board.
As the cruise continues north toward Luxor, you will visit two of the most remarkable temples along the Nile.
The Temple of Horus in Edfu is one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Built during the Ptolemaic period, this magnificent temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god, and offers visitors an impressive glimpse into ancient Egyptian religious architecture.
Later, you will visit the fascinating Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). The temple’s symmetrical design, detailed carvings, and riverside location make it one of the highlights of any Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor.
In the evening, the cruise continues sailing along the Nile.
After breakfast, your cruise arrives in Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum.
Your tour begins with the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex ever built in ancient Egypt. Its enormous columns, sacred lakes, and impressive obelisks make it one of the most iconic historical sites in the country.
Next, you will visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. Here you can explore several beautifully decorated tombs hidden deep within the desert mountains.
You will also see the spectacular Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a unique terraced temple dramatically built against the limestone cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
Before the tour ends, you will stop at the famous Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have guarded the west bank of Luxor for more than 3,000 years.
After the visits, your Nile cruise adventure concludes with disembarkation in Luxor.
