Introduction

On 2 August 2027, Luxor will see the total solar eclipse of the century: about 6 minutes and 22 seconds of totality, the longest on Earth until 2114. Luxor sits right inside the path of totality.

From Hurghada you only see a 98.5% partial eclipse, with no totality and no corona. To see the real total solar eclipse in Egypt, you need to travel to Luxor.

On our group day trip from Hurghada, you visit Karnak Temple in the morning and watch the solar eclipse with your local guide. Prices start from €100 per person. The final price may change if the authorities introduce new fees or ticket prices.
